What does it mean to have a generosity of spirit? The generosity of spirit is the sharing of meaning. You can define meaning any way you want. It can be a purpose, like a team of climbers ascending Everest. It can also be a shared faith in higher values. You may experience this kind of generosity of spirit Standing in front of a beautiful painting like the Mona Lisa. This sharing transcends time as Leonardo’s spirit communicates itself through his art.

A generosity of spirit allows space for differences to exist, and empathy to arise. A generosity of spirit works to find the commonalities that bind us, despite the glaring differences that may separate us. You can choose to live in the energy of gratitude and graciousness. The more gracious you are the more loving you can be. Let’s practice the Blessism for gratitude and generosity of spirit.

Blessism for Gratitude and Generosity of Spirit

I bless my generosity of spirit today. I am also blessed and grateful for my extraordinary life and for the gift of good health. I choose to live in the energy of gratitude and graciousness. The more gracious I am, the more loving I can be. I trust everything I aspire to be in life is coming at the perfect time and in the perfect way. Having a generosity of spirit allows me to feel happier, healthier, and much more fulfilled. I bless my ability to offer small acts of loving-kindness whenever possible. Even if my effort does not come back around to me, I can give with an open heart and a loving spirit. Being generous is not merely something I do, it is the embodiment of who I am.  May I have a generosity of spirit every day and be open and willing to share my gifts freely with others. I bless my ability to have a generous heart and to joyously and willingly give to others without expectation of receiving anything in return. I create a generosity of spirit through respect and compassion for others and experiencing and celebrating that which is important both to myself and others.
