The way you see the problem, is the problem. – Stephen Covey
According to Albert Einstein, problems cannot often be solved at the same level of thinking that created them. In turbulent, uncertain, novel, and ambiguous times, one skill that will never go out of reckoning is problem-solving. The good news is that problem solvers are made, not born.
Life is often full of problems and sometimes the best we can do about it is roll our way through them. We often think that the approach we took the last time to resolve an issue will work on every problem coming our way.
The challenge with this is that our limitations might have been what caused us to have the problem in the first place. Whether it’s a lack of knowledge or creativity, the source of the problem is still within us.
Therefore, if we really want to solve a problem we need to start thinking differently. We must look to the unknown and explore “outside the box” (or even throw the box away entirely) to discover the best solution.
So maybe the solution is right there in front of you, but you are too scared to try. Practices like mindfulness and meditation, can help you take a leap of faith and in return help you overcome your struggles and find a new solution. That’s one of the best reasons to use Blessisms, they can help you develop creative new solutions to problems you may be struggling with.
Blessism for Seeing Things in a New Light
I bless my ability to see things in a new light today. I understand that problems cannot often be solved at the same level of thinking that created them. I honor my ability and capacity to perceive, regard and understand things in a different way. My ability to shift my thinking and my perspective can change everything in a flash. I bless and honor my ability to explore life from different perspectives and viewpoints. I honor and bless my ability to see things from the eyes of my heart and the wisdom of my inner being. My ability to see things in a new light is transformative. This ability is my power. I know the way I see the problem, is often the problem. I strive to expand my thinking and my level of consciousness so I may see beyond the normal solutions. I see things in a new light today, an extraordinary light and for that I am grateful.
